Photo Shoot for Clo&Ro Accessories & Plushies

At the end of August Mary and I will be having a photo shoot to show our work on our blog, Facebook, and online shops!!! (yes, plural, I’ll explain in a bit.)

My cousin, Diana, will be our photographer šŸ˜€ andĀ you can see her work here:Ā http://dianabellackphotography.com/

We’re excited and nervous at the same time. We’ve also been burnt up by all the researching we tried to do through http://www.sba.gov/. It’s just so overwhelming and the annoying accounting and tax paperwork is something we won’t be looking forward to. I’ve decided to get more human guidance by taking a small business class and will relay what I learn to Mary.

Now to why I said “shops” earlier. We’ve decided to open our own online shops and work as sole proprietors to make things a hell of a lot simpler on us both. We’re at tough points in our lives and aren’t exactly rolling in dough. And we also aren’t living in the same state anymore. But who knows, maybe when we make more money down the road, live in the same state again, and are in more stable situations in life, we can join up as a LLC partnership! We’ll see where fate leads us! :p

We want to thank everyone who has supported us, followed us, and was just curious about us!!! ^__^ Please, keep in touch and keep on following us through whichever medium is best for you. We’ll post up the links to our shops once we have them published and those who asked ages ago to get emailed will still be notified through email possibly before we even post on our blog. šŸ™‚

Late Saturday Night with Egoraptor

Mary, Mike, Matt, and I waited with other avid fans in line for the Game Grumps autograph signing for those who were unable to get a picture and autograph the first session. Jon wasn’t able to attend since he was sick (get well, Jon!) We were cheered up though by Arin’s energy. Arin’s seriously a great guy. For two hours he stuck with all of us, gave fun cartoony autographs, and took lolsy photos with fans. Then right after, he attended his one hour panel that turned into a two hour panel. That’s dedication! šŸ˜€

Thanks for being awesome!

MAGFest, our costumes, and the Game Grumps panel

The exposure of the picture isn’t that great but we wanted to have some memory of us in our costumes, lol. Mary dressed up asĀ Gaige from borderlands 2 and I dressed up as Rosa (a.k.a Mei) fromĀ PokĆ©mon Black and White 2.

Rosa and Gauge

Here’s Mary’s plushies before we go to the Game Grumps panel. Resting happily before they reach their new owners:

[During their panel you can see Mary be able to give the plushies to Jon and Arin: http://youtu.be/cdu8L_JBq4w?t=6m15s]

Game Grumps Plushies: Jontron Kirby and Egoraptor Poppy Bros.

Mary made these plushies for Jontron and Egoraptor! Check ’em out!~

jontron and egoraptor plushies

Mary here!: šŸ˜€ I’m so glad the Grumps seemed to like them, “pube-like” hairs and all, haha (Egoraptor apologized for calling Kirby JonTron’s hair puby later when we saw him at the GameGrumps signing but no worries Arin, no need to apologize, that cracked me uuup, hehehe!) Ā It was very exciting to be able to give these to them, even if I was all awkward for all of YouTube and the panelĀ attendeesĀ to see, LoL! Ā But it was worth it.. hopefully these snuggly guys will cheer them up, and even get them through their trials in Sonic ’06!

If you are stopping by to check out our stuff from Reddit, welcome! šŸ˜€ Ā We are just a humble blog for now, but we are hoping to set up an Etsy soon, and eventually have our own website. Ā Feel free to like our Facebook if you like, we make a bunch of cute things and gamer-related things, so something for everyone! šŸ˜€

Kokeshi Charm Necklace

For my dear cousin, Britney, I have made a charm necklace. The Kokeshi doll IĀ modeledĀ in clay and it baked quite nicely. It didn’t catch as much flying dust as previous sculpts. I painted her eyes, small eye brows, and lips then glazed it all to death after it all dried, lol. I added a pearl and crystal to give it a more delicate look.

She has three buns on her noggin and a very simplifiedĀ ChineseĀ dress. It would’ve been nice if I could have found my gold paint to make the lining for the dress. :\

I’m not good with making things that are outside of the childish or cute realm. My brain is kind of stuck in that mode. Even at 26 I’m still wearing cutesy things, lol. Anywho, love ya, Britney! Hope you like this, cuz!

Game Grumps Earrings

Mary and I have been watching twoĀ YouTubeĀ celebrities, JonTron and Egoraptor, in a recently made series called GAME GRUMPS. They crack us up with their goofy remarks, commentary, and outbursts. šŸ˜€Ā Eventhough the opening is cute and they play E-rated gamesĀ I don’t recommend little kids seeing it due to some language—and stuff, lol.

Anywho, to the point, I love the chubby cartoon faces [at left] Egoraptor made of himself and JonTron for the opening of their videos. So much so, I sculpted tiny versions of their cartoon heads in clay, baked them, and painted them nice an’ purty. I was considering if they should just be charms you put on your keychain, a bracelet, or necklace but they ended up as earrings, lol. I have no idea how often I’d wear them but they are funny and cute, well, at least to my friends and me.

Here are a few pictures I took inbetween making them and then of the final product.

A little Journey for my Journeying Pack

This is a little belated in my posting this on here. I posted it up in thatgamecompany.com/forum but wanted to show it here too. I’ve given into the “fanny packs’… lol, I used to make fun of them in the past and avoid ever wearing one.Ā I bought one for my Busch Gardens trip so that I don’t have to have the feeling of aĀ flailing bag and/or purse that weighs me down over time and I won’t have to worry about my belongings as they sit in a bin or cubby while I’m on a ride (I’m a big worrier of many things.)

The one I bought is small compared to the heavy duty ones I saw at REI.Ā It’s a plain, black Jansport pack that felt comfortableĀ chillin on my hip or back.Ā It was the same material asĀ one of my ol’ school back packs that IĀ remember drawing on. I painted my pack to put a little of my personality into it.Ā I got one for Mary too (she’ll probably paint hers as well at some point.)

For months I’ve been in love with this game called, Journey. It’s on the PS3 and it was made by thatgamecompany. All of their games are refreshing to me. Anywho, what I had painted was one of my favorite parts in the game that I experienced when I was able to play with my best and with many others that happen to sync with my game. It’s a vastĀ sand dune level where when I first began playing, many would be wandering in. So if one person left quickly, another would soon join right after. Nowadays, it isn’t as much as a hot spot as it was before, but I still like to remember my first “YAY!” moments in the game when someone was able to join me on a journey from that level šŸ˜€
